7 Pod Chaguunas Yellow, (Capsicum Chinense). This variety was discovered in the City of Chaguanas in Trinidad and Tobago. It is a rare and extremely hot pepper, even sharper than the standard 7 Pod. The acuity of this pepper is similar to Bhut Jolokia and Nag Morich. 7 Pod Chaguanas grows up to 60 cm in a pot and will grow above 1 meter if planted in open ground. The pods are 5 cm long and 3 cm wide, and ripen from green to yellow, and have a pleasant rich fruity aroma. The plant is a perennial plant. The maturation period is 120 days. The acuity is 800,000 - 1,000,000 Scovilles.
